HOW TO PLAY CASINO CRAPS - BEGINNERS

HOW TO PLAY CASINO CRAPS IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR BEGINNERS

GETTING STARTED WITH CRAPS

Craps is a casino game where you can play with money or dice. It involves a lot strategy and action.

A player must first understand the craps table personnel. A dealer, a boxperson, and a stickperson are the most common craps table personnel at casinos.

The boxperson manages the craps table and acts as the immediate supervisor of the whole game. The supervisor also oversees the chips and is responsible for settling any disputes between dealers and players.

The 2nd base dealer, or the dealer to the right of the boxperson, is the dealer. Any craps player playing on that side is on the second base side. It is important to remember this by looking out at the field. The boxperson is at the farthest end of the field, and 2nd base is their home.

The third base dealer is the one to the left of the boxperson. Any craps player that is on that side of play is on the 3rd Base. The field is a key tool to remind you of this. The number twelve position on the field is located at 3rd base. (1+2=3rd Base).

The stickperson is the dealer who moves dice using a long-hooked stick. The stickperson is located at the center of the table opposite the boxperson.

If a player "straight out", they will be at the middle of the table to either side.

For rating players, the supervisor uses the color of a player’s clothes and the player's position.

HOW TO PLAY CRAPS

Craps is a game with many interesting aspects. Playing craps involves rolling a number, or a point, with two dice. Then you roll the same number again until you get a seven. "The shooter" refers to the person at the craps tables who rolls the dice.

If a number is marked with the "pucks", it is the "point". This is the number the shooter tries to get before seven rolls.

If the point is reached, the puck is "turned off" and the shooter fires again. It is now a “come out” roll. This signifies that the game is about to begin and there is no point.

If the next number to roll is a 4, 5, 6-8, 9 or 10, that's the point of play. The shooter attempts to score the next number before seven. If there are seven rolls prior to the point, it is called a "seven-out." The shooter loses control and the dice are given to the next shooter.

A new shooter shoots a point, then attempts to shoot the point before the seven, just like the previous shooter.

BETTING IN CAPS & CRAPS-STRATEGY

Craps is played using the pass line, place, hard ways, craps & eleven as bets. These are the terms and conditions that you need to be familiar with when playing craps.

Pass Line Bet: This bet is that players will win 7 or 11 rolls on their first roll, or 2, 3, or 12, depending on how many loses they have. To win, a number like: 4, 5, 6, 8 or 9 rolls must be repeated before it becomes seven.

Don't pass Bet: The player wagers that 2 or 3 rolls will win on the first roll, 12 is a push and 7 or 11 loses. If the number is 4, 5, 6, 8 or 9, it must be rolled seven times before it can repeat.

Come Bet: It's the same as the pass-line bet. The same rules apply. It's a whole game within a single game.

Don't Come bet: This is similar to Don't Pass, and the same rules apply. It's a game within another game.

Field Bet: Player wins if any numbers in the box are out. You can also refer to a field bet as a "ONE ROLL" BET.

Place Bet: Any wager on the points numbers (4, 5, 6, 8, 9, and 10) that is not a contract bet. Unless indicated otherwise by the player, a Place Bet will be "off" on the come out roll. A Beginner's Guide To Online Craps
