Bingo Basics

 Bingo Basics

There are many variants of bingo. There are three types of bingo numbers: 80, 75 and 90. Also, there are many pattern variations such as full house, corners and corners.

Our centre only offers 90 ball bingo. We offer two formats. It uses 15 numbers that are scattered across 3 rows of boxes each with 5 numbers per row. The numbers are organized in columns with the same group of number, which is:

1st column: 1-9

2nd column: 10-19

3rd column: 20-29

4th column: 30-39

5th column: 40-49

6th column: 50-59

7th column: 60-69

8th column: 70-79

9th column: 80-90

Tickets can be bought in sections of 1-6 tickets. You can purchase 6 tickets to get all 90 numbers per match.

PET Machines

PET machines can be described as electronic tablets that you load your books onto. We set our PET machines so that they automatically tab the numbers and play Bingo for you. You will hear a "ding," sound when any of your tickets gets down to one number. This is to alert you that you are close to winning bingo. If the caller announces this number, you must still call bingo. Failure to do this will result in missed bingo.

You can manually mark the numbers off on the machine's screen using a special feature. You can ask one of our staff for more information about this feature. However, this setting is only recommended for experienced PET machine users. Failure to mark a number correctly on the PET Machine will result in missed Bingo.

Formats Played:

Every game at Ballarat Bingo in Midlands is called by staff. We don't use an automated caller system.

Numbers are drawn using a random number generator. Our caller announces the results and displays them on monitors at our walls.

"FULL HOUSE"

This is also known by the "Full Card" format, and it's what we use for all our main games (unless stated otherwise).

To claim the bingo prize, players need to match all 15 numbers on a ticket. The caller must announce the last number on the winning ticket. If it is not, the claim will be deemed false and the game will be continued.

LINER"

This format can be found on all single flyer ticket games. It will be advertised as such.

This is where the player must have five numbers marked across any single line of a ticket. This is where the last number that was announced by the caller MUST be on a line in order to claim the prize. If it is not, the claim is deemed false. After the "liner" winner has been confirmed, the game will continue until the player calls bingo for the "full house".

Different Prize Money Structures

Apart from the "straight money", where prizes are advertised at fixed amounts, we also play these variants:

ROULETTE"

Cash prizes can be claimed for cash prizes. Here is how the prize structure works:

Numbers 1-50 = $50

All numbers over 50 will receive the same amount.

EG:

Number 62 = $62

Number 89 = $89

"Double Roulette", simply puts the above prize amounts twice (prizes $100 - $180).

"Triple Roulette", is simply the sum of all three prizes (prizes $150-$270).

After all joke money games are played, the jackpot is awarded. The jackpot amount depends on how much you win from funny money games.

"MULTIPLIER"

This feature is used to create special occasions. Once bingo is called and confirmed, we activate the random number generator. The generator's number indicates how much you can multiply your winnings.

If it is a special feature, we will advertise this feature in advance.
